Attracting Fans and Engaging Your Community – Entertainment Blogging And Social Media
Speakers Emma Loggins
Emma Loggins is the founder and editor of the popular entertainment site FanBolt.com where she blogs daily on the latest entertainment news, DVD reviews, her opinions on current happenings in the media, screening/filming/casting opportunities, and more. The site currently has over 120,000 registered members and receives an average of 950,000 hits per month. Emma will be sharing some of her story from how she got started to how she keeps her community of readers and contributors engaged and coming back to her site over and over again. She will be also sharing a couple case studies about how the entertainment industry is using blogging and social media to reach out and engage fans as well as bloggers – including how Atlanta Film Studios plans on using social media to attract projects and engage fans.
Emma also runs a web design firm LNP Studios where she helps businesses by designing and optimizing their web presence and also their social media marketing. She has worked with small firms as well as large entertainment companies in order to create and maintain the best web exposure for them.
Emma is also the Entertainment Track Lead for Digital Atlanta.

A Grassroots Approach To Social Gaming
Speakers Mickey Desai
A casual conversation on taking a game from idea to implementation, the steps involved, potential barriers to market. This session will not address the technical aspects of database development.
Mickey Desai’s career path has wound its way into and out of the corporate sector. As an entrepreneur, Desai founded The Nonprofit Snapshot, a micro-assessment and dashboard for nonprofit organizations. Most recently, he co-founded Cherry Belly, LLC to create a different offering of online games, referring to this startup endeavor as “the most fun and frightening thing I’ve ever done.” Desai remains active in the nonprofit world, currently serving on the Georgia River Network board of directors, and advising nonprofits on their management practices.
